We're the Stills family — Jennie, Nick, and our three kids. In 2026 we packed up our life in Tennessee and moved to Mallorca, Spain, chasing a dream and a calling. Since then we've been slow-traveling, homeschooling abroad, and figuring out life — one imperfect day at a time. We are learning what it actually looks like to raise a family with intention instead of on autopilot. This is where we share what we're learning.

We've traveled the world as a family. Now, from our home base in Mallorca, where we serve in our church and help grow a school, we're choosing slow, intentional travel across Europe, Central America, and the US: fewer checklists, more connection.
Homeschooling since 2020, we follow each child's learning style, meet challenges with patience, and let the bigger questions of life and the world guide what we explore. Our goal is simple: raise kids who love to learn.

TIMELINE

2002-2006 : Needtobreathe

While studying Sociology at Clemson University, Nick joined with long time friends and became a part of Needtobreathe. He toured with them from 2002-2006. LOOK AT THAT HAIR!
2002-2006 : FU

I studied Classical Voice Performance and Music Education at Furman University. This is a picture of one of my very best friends at school, Mivvi, after my Senior Voice Recital. We were both just glad I made it through.
2004-2007 : Dating

I knew who Nick was in high school. Before my family moved away my freshman year I remember (and can prove) circling and starring all of Nick’s pictures in the year book.
2004-2007 : Dating

We starting hanging out after riding dirt bikes with some of the boys in the band. I immediately fell head over heals, though Nick was slower to come around. After breaking up a few times, we finally got engaged in the spring of 2007.
2007 : married

We were babies!
2011 : Plaza House

Our first real house. House number 4. We got to buy this house while living here as renters. One day a cop showed up with foreclosure papers for the owners. We were so lucky. 6 months later we were the proud owners of this 1300 sq ft house. We brought Everly and Smith home here..
2011 : Insurance

Nick’s job took us to many places including this awards dinner in New Orleans. He worked insurance from 2008 until now. Working for 2 well known companies and moving from sales to corporate he worked hard to move us toward the goals we had set.
2012 : Everly

After 2 miscarriages and a surgery, we got our strong, beautiful girl.
2014 : Smith

18 months after Everly came our sweet Smith.

House # 6. This house represented a time of healing and rest for our family. We chose to redo the kitchen but didn’t need many renovations other than that. We brought Lennon home to this house.
2017 : Surprise!

After deciding on a family of 4, Lennon came rushing in bringing healing, joy and lots of fun!
2019 : Marvin

We moved to house number 7 to get into a new school district and because after a random call from a realtor (our house was not for sale) we sold house 6. This house required extensive renovations (which we are still doing). With this house came amazing neighbors, and a great school district—all a part of the plan.
2020 : Covid

2020: Homeschool

In fall of 2020 we made the decision to pull our kids out of public school and begin homeschooling.
2020 : Colorado

Beginning to travel.
2020: Thanksgiving

Trip to New York in November 2020. We drove 11 hours and learned how to travel longer, more uncomfortable distances as a family.
2021: Portugal

In the fall of 2021 we traveled to Portugal for a month. More on this in the blog.
